Safety Training - First Aid/CPR/AED

If needed we can create a training session just for your company  to take place at the AGC office or your office. There are many possibilities, so please don't hesitate to inquire on how the AGC-GM Safety staff can meet your needs. Contact Dan Burazin at dburazin@agc-gm.org or Gert Grohmann at ggrohmann@agc-gm.org or call 414-778-4100.

First Aid/CPR/AED Training

The AGC-GM First Aid class is a MEDIC FIRST AID ® sanctioned course recognized by OSHA in meeting the requirements for trained responders on site. Medic First Aid is a fundamental training program in emergency care designed with the occupational provider in mind. Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and other important emergency skills are combined into a single course. Students learn the same priorities of care and approach to the patient used by professional emergency care providers.

Medic First Aid basic should be considered a “core program” appropriate for many, if not most, worksites. It is the minimum information and skills for persons with an occupational requirement to be first aid trained.

Our course also introduces students to the proper use of an Automated External Defibrillator. AED are becoming more and more common in the workplace. We instruct participants in how to use this equipment since it will greatly increase the chances of saving lives.

The course is run over two sessions at 3 hours per session. Students must attend both sessions to qualify for the certification. Class size is limited to 12 persons per instructor. AGC retains two qualified instructors on staff. Recertification is required every two years. A recertification class involves scenarios and is completed in one 3-hour session.

Sessions are held at the AGC offices at 10400 Innovation Dr., Ste. 210 in Milwaukee. Registration fees are based on affiliation and membership status. Normal fees are $60 per person with non-members at $120. Corporate General Contractors can register for $50 per person.
